Time Frame

The foundation’s directors meet two times a year. The deadline for grant submission are April 1 and October 1. Postmarks and electronic transmittals are not acceptable. If the deadline falls on a weekend, the deadline is advanced to the next business day. Grant requests must be submitted, in full, through the mail by the deadline date to be considered for that cycle.  

Applicants are encouraged to submit their completed applications in advance of the funding deadline. Applications received after those dates may be considered  for the next funding cycle.  

In reviewing the application the review committee will try to determine the value of the project to the community: the stability of the organization: other financial support to the project and to the organization as a whole: and the future maintenance and funding of the project.  

Applicants will be notified in writing of the acceptance or rejection of their request within six weeks of the deadline date.   

If the request is approved, the grantee must agree to conform to all the conditions of the grant and to use the funds only for the purpose for which the grant was made. Six months after acceptance a Final Report of Grant Expenditure must be returned to the Foundation. An extension of this report has to be requested. This report will be provided at the time of funding, and asks financial and programmatic information. Future funding will not be considered if reports from previous grants are not completed.
